We’re looking for a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a talented, specialist team of ground engineers in Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to become part of a close-knit team, working on a varied portfolio of projects with plenty of responsibility.
This role would suit an experienced engineer who’s keen to take ownership of projects, contribute technically, and play a key role in the continued growth of the team.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering a range of geotechnical projects from initial investigation through to design and reporting. The work spans sectors including residential, commercial, and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing and delivering ground investigations
*Producing geotechnical design reports and specifications
*Overseeing site work and supervising junior engineers
*Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
*Providing technical input on foundations, slope stability, and earthworks
Requirements
*Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
*Proven experience in a geotechnical role (typically 5+ years)
*Strong understanding of site investigation and geotechnical design
*Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff
*Working towards or already chartered (ICE or similar)
