I am seeking a detail oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with CIS experience for a growing company im working with in Coulsdon. The role would be part time and 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records with a focus on the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with HMRC regulations, and supporting the smooth running of the company’s finances.
Key Responsibilities
*Process and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
*Manage CIS subcontractor registrations and verifications with HMRC.
*Calculate and process CIS deductions and prepare monthly CIS returns.
*Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
*Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns.
*Process subcontractor payments and maintain payment records.
*Process Payroll
*Deal with all VAT returns
*Bank reconciliations
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
*Proven experience as an Bookkeeper, ideally within the construction industry.
*Strong knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) processes and compliance.
*Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
*Good understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping principles.
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
