Job Title – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager – Renewable Energy
Their Purpose – A specialist renewable energy provider delivering high-quality aftercare, maintenance and optimisation services across Solar PV, Heat Pumps and wider low-carbon technologies. They support domestic, commercial and public-sector clients in maximising system performance, reducing downtime and ensuring long-term asset reliability.
Location & flexibility – Cornwall-based with regular travel to customer sites across the UK.
Salary & Benefits – £45,000 - £50,000 DOE
About the Job:
This is a leadership role for an experienced Operations & Maintenance Manager who can oversee a growing aftercare function while also carrying out hands-on technical work when required. You will manage a small team of field engineers and an office-based administrator, ensuring all maintenance, repairs, inspections and performance monitoring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading and developing a team of field engineers to deliver a professional renewable energy aftercare service
*Assigning workloads, setting schedules and providing technical guidance and mentoring
*Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with industry standards and regulations
*Using monitoring platforms to track system performance, identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
*Analysing operational data to improve energy output and reduce maintenance costs
*Conducting inspections, testing, commissioning and performance checks on renewable energy assets
*Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on Solar PV, heat pumps and associated electrical/mechanical systems
About you:
*4–6 years’ hands-on experience in O&M for renewable energy systems
*1–2 years’ experience supervising or leading a small technical team
*Strong technical understanding of Solar PV and wider renewable technologies
*Proven ability to carry out mechanical/electrical maintenance and repairs
