The Opportunity

A well-established and growing engineering business operating within the utilities sector is looking to strengthen its field team with the addition of an experienced Lead Field Service Engineer.
This is a key hire with a clear succession plan in place, offering the opportunity to step into a senior, hands-on position and play a pivotal role in delivering critical work across UK infrastructure projects.

The Role
*Lead a 2-person field team as the senior engineer on-site
*Carry out installation, maintenance and repair work on wastewater treatment facilities
*Take ownership of jobs from start to completion, ensuring high standards and efficiency
*Work closely with an experienced engineer
*Operate across multiple sites, with a strong focus on the utilities / wastewater sector
*Occasional working away (typically 3–4 days per week at times, with some longer stints during peak periods
Requirements
*10+ years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar
*Strong mechanical "hands-on" background
*Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability in the field
*Experience with:

*Lifting & cranage operations

*Working at height

*Confined spaces

*Comfortable working in wastewater / utilities environments (majority of work)
*Engineering qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / equivalent) desirable
