Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior
Location: Nottingham | Hybrid
Job Type: Full Time
The role
This is a great opportunity for someone with early practice experience to step into a varied role within a supportive firm. With a strong focus on audit, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of clients while also developing your skills across accounts preparation and tax.
You’ll work both on-site and in the office as part of a team, contributing to audits and supporting the wider accounts function - ideal for someone looking to continue their professional development and progress their career.
Key responsibilities
*Supporting audit assignments across a variety of sectors, both on-site and in the office
*Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Assisting with business tax computations and supporting schedules
*Working as part of a team to manage a portfolio of clients and meet key deadlines
*Supporting with ad-hoc client queries throughout the year
*Assisting with management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns where required
*Advising clients on suitable accounting software solutions
*Contributing to the smooth running of the office and maintaining high service standards
About you
*At least 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice (audit or mixed role)
*AAT qualified or finalist, or currently studying ACA / ACCA
*Good understanding of audit and accounts preparation
*Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
*Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
*Full UK driving licence and access to a car for client visits
*Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to work
