Data Scientist - Contract - 6 Months
Rate: £500 per day
IR35: Inside
Duration: 6 Months (extendable)
Location: Remote / Occasional travel to Southwest England
The role:
A large organisation is seeking a Data Scientist to support the delivery of AI and machine learning solutions across an evolving enterprise data environment.
This is a hands-on role working across the full ML lifecycle, from prototype through to production, focused on delivering scalable, value-driven outcomes.
Experience requirements & Responsibilities:
*Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
*Translate prototypes into production-ready solutions.
*Build and maintain data pipelines and ML infrastructure.
*Prepare and analyse large datasets, extracting actionable insights.
*Evaluate, optimise and monitor model performance.
*Support the design and delivery of AI initiatives.
*Work within Agile teams and engage with stakeholders across the business.
Essential:
*Strong Python skills (R, Java or C++ beneficial).
*Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).
*Experience working with large datasets and data tools.
*Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualisation.
*Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
*Strong communication skills.
