Accounts Officer
Tavistock, Devon
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Full-time (37.5 hours) - Part-time (30 hours) considered
Our client, a well-established and values-led organisation in the charitable sector, is currently seeking an Accounts Officer, to join their forward-thinking team. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, however part-time hours of 30 per week considered for the right candidate.
As the Accounts Officer, you will support the wider operations team by managing the accurate and compliant processing of payroll accounts, combining data handling, reconciliation and client support to ensure donations are administered smoothly.
The responsibilities:
*Managing and processing payroll accounts for employer clients
*Reconciling donations and ensuring funds are correctly distributed
*Carrying out checks on organisations and bank details
*Responding to client and account holder queries
*Supporting internal controls, compliance and service standards
*Handling incoming calls and general administrative support
The candidate:
*Proven experience in an office-based role, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a professional environment
*Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
*Desirable experience or working knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
