ALF are proud to be partnering with a growing, multi-entity professional services group operating across the UK and internationally. With an entrepreneurial and fast-paced culture, the business is now looking to appoint a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations across the group.
This is a stand-alone role offering a a broad a mix of transactional and management accounting responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and being fully embedding in the numbers.
The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel across South Manchester (one or twice a month) therefore and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 30 hours over 4 days).
Candidates MUST be based in the North West and MUST have experience using Xero in a business with a T/O less than £10m

Role:
This a varied, end-to-end Finance Position supporting multiple group entities. You’ll work closely with Senior Leadership and External Advisors, taking responsibility for both core transactional finance and monthly reporting activites.
*Bank Reconciliations and Day-to-Day Financial Transactions
*Producing Financial Reports and Supporting Monthly Performance Analysis
*Prepare Management Accounts including P&L and Cashflow Forecasts
*Manage Intercompany Transactions, Recharges, and Balances
*Monitoring HMRC Balances and Financial Obligations
*Posting Journals and Completing Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*VAT Returns
About you:
*Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE
*Experienced in a broad, finance role
*You must have come from an SME Background
*Basic understanding of Payroll Process
*Strong IT skills – confident using Xero (A must)
*Comfortable working independently but can travel around South Manchester.
