Senior Accountant
Location: Lincoln | Hybrid
Job Type: Full Time
The role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a close-knit and high-performing team. You’ll take ownership of your own client portfolio, working with a range of owner-managed businesses across different sectors, while also supporting the wider team with reviews and workflow management.
The role offers a broad mix of responsibilities across accounts and tax, with the opportunity to get involved in audit work where required. It’s well suited to someone looking for a varied position with scope to make a real impact within a growing office.
Key responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the year
*Preparing statutory accounts for a range of business types and sizes
*Producing corporate tax computations and handling related queries
*Reviewing accounts and tax work completed by junior team members
*Coordinating workloads and ensuring deadlines are met across the team
*Advising owner-managed businesses on financial and business matters
*Supporting with technical queries across accounts, tax, and audit
*Assisting with audit assignments where required
About you
*ACA or ACCA qualified
*Minimum of 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
*Experience managing a client portfolio
*Commercially aware with a proactive approach
*Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
*Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
*Full UK driving licence and access to a car
