About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Stores Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a small warehouse / stores unit supporting operational teams within the cleaning sector.
This is a hands-on, practical role that would suit someone highly organised and comfortable carrying out a variety of tasks. While warehouse-based, the environment is a small unit, meaning the role is more focused on stores management, preparation, and organisation rather than large-scale warehousing.
You will work closely with the office team and site operatives to ensure stock levels are maintained, vans are fully prepared for daily jobs, and all equipment and chemicals are ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the daily operation of a small warehouse / stores unit
*Prepare and stock company vans for the following day’s jobs
*Carry out stock checks and manage inventory of cleaning chemicals and equipment
*Ensure correct storage, handling, and organisation of cleaning chemicals
*Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
*Complete minor repairs and general practical tasks as required
*Work alongside the office team to support smooth daily operations
*Support Cherry Picker work on an occasional basis
*Ensure operational readiness at all times
Essential Requirements
*Proven experience in a similar Stores Manager or warehouse-based role
*Experience working within a cleaning or industrial warehouse environment
*Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail (this is critical)
*Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved
*Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role
Desirable
*Cherry Picker licence
*IPAF licence
*Flexible approach to working hours when required
What’s On Offer
*Salary of £28,665 per annum
*Immediate start available
*Monday to Friday working pattern
*Varied, hands-on role within a small, close-knit operation
If interested, please apply.
