We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Head of English to lead their department. Job Overview:
* This school caters for students aged 11-18.
* Full-time, Monday - Friday, Head of English role.
* Lead and manage the English department, overseeing English Language and Literature.
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons across KS3-KS5.
* Monitor, track, and raise student attainment and progress across the department.
* Develop and implement a high-quality, ambitious English curriculum.
* Support and mentor staff within the department, promoting best teaching practices.
* Work collaboratively with SLT, colleagues, and the wider school community.
