Full-time | Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced team based in Basingstoke. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a switched-on, proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
The ideal candidate will be confident handling a varied workload, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable working in a structured but fast-moving environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
Applicants must be available to start immediately or at short notice.
The RoleAs a Customer Service Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries while also managing the returns process end-to-end. This is a varied role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to switch between tasks efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
*Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, and online channels
*Provide clear, accurate information regarding products, orders, deliveries, and returns
*Resolve queries professionally and efficiently to ensure a positive customer experience
*Escalate more complex issues when required
*Maintain accurate written records of all customer interactions
Returns Administration
*Process Return Merchandise Authorisations (RMAs) in line with company procedures
*Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to track returned goods
*Check and validate return requests for accuracy and eligibility
*Ensure returns are processed, logged, and credited within agreed timescales
Order & Systems Management
*Update internal systems with return statuses and customer communications
*Assist with order amendments, cancellations, and replacements
*Ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, and compliant with internal processes
About YouEssential
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Confident multitasker with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
*High level of attention to detail and accuracy
*Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role (preferred)
*Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Available immediately or at short notice

*Experience handling returns, logistics, or order processing
*Exposure to CRM or ERP systems
*Experience in a fast-paced office, distribution, or commercial environment

Working Hours*Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
