*MTrec are currently recruiting for a Storekeeper for a well-established manufacturing firm based in the Gateshead area.
The Job You’ll Do;
*Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received
*Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock
*Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items
*Updating inventory management systems regularly
*Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift
*Organising and delivering goods from the store to the section that requires it
*Deliver finished goods to customer sites
*Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and word processing software
*Excellent organisational skills
*Ability to work methodically and quickly
About You;
*Hold an in date drivers license
*Experience in warehouse and distribution environment.
*Methodical with the ability to prioritise workload
*Experience using in house systems, ideally SAP.
*Good communication and listening skills.
*Ability to motivate the team to meet KPIs.
*Ability to work to deadlines.
*Ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Problem solving skills.
*A good accuracy level is essential.
*Good numeracy and literacy.
*Ability to work alone or as part of a team as required.
