Job Description:
Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver – Immediate Start
Location: Haywards Heath
Salary: £13.07 per hour + Overtime
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Contract
Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (Full-time)
Schedule: Monday to Friday with Weekend availability
Shift Pattern: 10:00 – 17:00
About the Role
Pertemps are currently recruiting for Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Royal Mail in the Haywards Heath area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently, being outdoors, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
*Sorting and preparing mail/parcels at the local delivery office
*Loading delivery vehicles efficiently
*Delivering letters and parcels using a planned route
*Using a handheld device for navigation and customer signatures
*Completing deliveries on foot and by vehicle (up to 8 miles walking per day)
*Handling parcels and mail bags (up to 20kg)
Requirements
*Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
*Good time management and organisational skills
*Strong customer service approach
*Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work in all weather conditions
*Previous delivery or driving experience is desirable but not essential
