Compliance Business Partner, Midlands | Hybrid | Up to £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits
We are working with a large, Chartered insurance broker to recruit an experienced Compliance Business Partner into their established compliance function. This is a high-profile role within a well-regarded business, offering genuine influence at a senior level and the opportunity to shape compliance culture across a complex, multi-faceted organisation.
This is an opportunity for a commercially-minded compliance professional who understands the value of pragmatic, business-focused advice — someone who builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders rather than simply policing from the sidelines.
The role:
*Champion compliance at all levels, partnering with the business and providing pragmatic, risk-based advice and support to key stakeholders
*Partner with business management to define and deliver the compliance strategy
*Map the regulatory framework, horizon scan for developments, and respond to new or changed regulation and legislation
*Assess whether policies, procedures, systems and controls fully address regulatory requirements
*Develop, implement and maintain an efficient compliance framework across policies, procedures, systems and controls
*Provide guidance to business management on required conduct standards and ethical behaviour, including the Code of Conduct
To apply:
*Proven experience in a compliance role within the insurance sector (broker experience preferred)
*Strong knowledge of FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s regulations and how these apply in practice
*Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and challenge effectively at all levels, including senior leadership
*Commercially aware with the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused compliance advice
*Comfortable working under pressure, managing competing priorities with minimal supervision
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach
