Primary Class Teacher - Tower Hamlets | September 2026
Location: Tower Hamlets (near Stepney Green / Whitechapel)

Key Stage: KS1 - Year 1
The School & RoleA well-established and high-achieving primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The school serves a diverse and vibrant community and has a strong reputation for pupil progress, particularly in early reading and phonics. There is a clear and structured approach to the curriculum, with well-embedded routines and consistent expectations across KS1.
Staff benefit from shared planning, strong leadership support and a collaborative working environment. The school places a high value on staff development and provides clear guidance, making it a supportive setting for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
Key Responsibilities*Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons
*Supporting phonics, early reading, writing and maths
*Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching
*Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
*Working closely with year group colleagues and support staff
The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
*Holds QTS with recent UK primary teaching experience
*Has strong knowledge of KS1 and phonics
*Demonstrates effective classroom management
*Is organised, proactive and reflective
*Works well within a team
