Financial Controller
Based: Bolton
Salary: £65k - £80k dependent on experience
We are working with a fantastic, growing SME based in Bolton looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. The business are growing rapidly with this role overseeing finance reporting to the CEO whilst heavily involved in developing processes/new systems to support their growth over the next 3-5 years.
Role:
*Preparing management accounts, board packs & statutory accounts including year end tax, audit & payroll requirements
*Preparing and creating budgets & forecasts, working with wider department managers driving cost control & profitability
*Producing financial reports & analysis for the board, attending monthly board meetings and offering recommendations
*Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations & cash flow forecasting – overseeing all treasury and costs
*Maintaining fixed asset register, posting journals and managing accruals/prepayments
*Overseeing all transactional finance and 2 staff members – first POC for auditors, banks & external relationships
*Driving improvements across finance & the site, working with department managers to deliver systems/process/cost improvements
*Reviewing internal controls, ensuring business & finance processes are sustainable for future growth
Experience:
*ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience as a Finance Manager/FC
*Experience as number 1 in an SME highly desirable
*Manufacturing experience essential
*System implementation / improvement experience highly desirable
