Description
*Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
*Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
*Prepare payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
*Assist with month-end processes, including ledger close and reporting.
*Respond to supplier queries and build positive working relationships with vendors.
*Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
*Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
*Contribute to process improvements within the purchase ledger function.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Controller should have:
*A solid understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
*Experience within the retail industry or a similar sector.
*Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
