Assistant Cost Accountant
Shipley
Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Shipley to recruit an Assistant Cost Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive finance team.
The Role*Monitor, investigate, and report on inventory adjustments
*Support SOX controls, compliance, and testing processes
*Update costs and investigate costing queries
*Produce monthly variance analysis and maintain standard costs
*Prepare journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations
*Forecast cost of sales, margins, and inventory levels
*Support stock takes, WIP checks, and annual cost revaluations
About You*AAT qualified (or studying towards CIMA/ACCA)
*Strong understanding of double entry and costing principles
*Experience in a busy finance environment with tight deadlines
*Manufacturing and ERP/MRP system experience beneficial
*Confident Excel user with strong analytical skills
*Organised, detail-focused, and a collaborative team player
