Science Technician (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Croydon on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis.
This is a key role within a well-resourced science department, supporting engaging and high-quality teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The school offers a welcoming and supportive environment, with a strong emphasis on professional development and internal progression.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare, set up, and clear away laboratory equipment and materials for practical science lessons
*Ensure all equipment is maintained, stored, and used in line with health and safety regulations
*Support teaching staff in delivering practical experiments and demonstrations
*Monitor stock levels and manage ordering of resources
*Maintain accurate records, including risk assessments and safety documentation
Requirements:
*Previous experience working as a Science Technician within a secondary school
*Strong subject knowledge across the sciences
*A relevant degree is preferred
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
