Job Description:
Elevation HR are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join one of our clients and take ownership of all employee relations activity across the business. This is a hands-on, influential role where you’ll manage complex casework, support a team of 3, and play a key part in organisational change.
If you’re comfortable working in a unionised environment and have experience handling TUPE and change programmes, this role will give you the scope to really make an impact.
What you’ll be doing
*Leading on a wide range of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and investigations
*Acting as a trusted advisor to senior managers on ER matters and risk mitigation
*Managing and developing a team of 3 ER/HR professionals
*Building strong, effective relationships with trade union representatives
*Leading and supporting TUPE transfers, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions
*Playing a key role in organisational change projects, including restructures, consultations, and redundancies
*Supporting and leading on negotiations and collective consultations
*Ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment law
*Analysing ER trends and driving proactive, preventative solutions
What we’re looking for
*Solid experience in an Employee Relations Manager (or similar) role
*Proven experience working in a unionised environment (essential)
*Hands-on experience managing TUPE processes and organisational change programmes
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
*Experience managing or mentoring a small team
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence, challenge, and build credibility at all levels
*Sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive, complex situations
