Support Worker – Children’s LD Residential Home (3 Beds, Birmingham)
Salary: £26,000 + Sleeps and overtime
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join our 3-bed Children’s Learning Disabilities (LD) home in Birmingham. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children with complex needs can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children with learning disabilities and autism.
*Support children with communication, independence, daily routines, and life skills.
*Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding procedures.
*Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
*Support with activities, education, and community engagement.
*Maintain accurate records and contribute to team discussions.
Requirements
*Experience supporting children or young people with LD, autism, or complex needs (preferred).
*A compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach.
*Ability to work as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.
*Willingness to complete relevant training, including Level 3 Children & Young People if not already held.
*Flexible to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
