We’re delighted to be supporting a major engineering consultancy, delivering complex tooling and mechanical design solutions across highly regulated sectors, as part of a wider framework agreement.
Due to significant investment and long-term programme growth, we’re looking for experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers, with strong Siemens NX skills and a background in tooling, fixtures, jigs, lifting equipment or precision mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
*3D modelling and 2D detailing in Siemens NX
*Managing design data via Teamcenter (PLM)
*Full lifecycle tooling design: requirements concept DfM release
*Producing assemblies, sub-assemblies, BOMs and detailed drawings
*Applying GD&T to ASME Y14.5 / BS standards
*Supporting gated design reviews and client presentations
*Ensuring compliance with safety legislation and UKCA requirements
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
*Strong Siemens NX (3D + 2D)
*Proven tooling / jigs / fixtures / lifting equipment design experience
*Teamcenter or similar PLM experience
*Solid DfM understanding
*Confident with GD&T
Desirable:
*Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defence, heavy engineering, oil & gas
*FEA exposure (Abaqus, ANSYS, MathCAD or hand calcs)
*Manufacturing or toolmaker background
