Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join a friendly, professional and busy automotive service centre.
You will be working in a modern workshop environment, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, tools and manufacturer-approved processes. This role involves the diagnosis, repair, servicing and MOT testing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
MOT Tester responsibilities:
*Carry out diagnostic and investigative work to identify and rectify faults
*Complete servicing to manufacturer standards
*Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify non-routine defects
*Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (EVHCs) and Video Health Checks
*Road test vehicles for diagnostic purposes and post-repair checks
*Liaise closely with Service Advisors, keeping them informed of job progress
*Discuss technical issues with customers where required
*Obtain appropriate authorisation prior to completing additional work
*Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training
Skills & experience required:
*Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
*Valid MOT Licence
*Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
*Full UK driving licence
*Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude
*Professional, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
