Xpert Recruitment are currently seeking driven, proactive and hardworking Certificated Enforcement Agents to join a well-established, nationwide enforcement business operating across England and Wales. The organisation works closely with local authorities, supporting the collection of unpaid council tax, business rates and other debts.

As a Self-Employed Enforcement Agent, you will manage your own workload while working in the field. You will visit charge payers to enforce Warrants and Liability Orders, securing payment while maintaining a professional, ethical and empathetic approach.

Core Responsibilities
*Travelling to addresses within your local area to enforce Warrants and Liability Orders on behalf of clients
*Assessing a debtor’s financial circumstances, including supporting completion of income and expenditure forms
*Securing payment in full or agreeing sustainable repayment arrangements
*Identifying vulnerability and signposting individuals to appropriate support services
*Liaising with office-based colleagues regarding active cases
*Managing payments, including handling cash, issuing receipts and maintaining accurate records
*Completing visit reports and all required documentation
*Taking control of goods and arranging removal where necessary
*Gathering intelligence on local demographics or individual circumstances to support client reporting
*Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and operational insights
Standards & Compliance
*Maintain strict client confidentiality and comply with Data Protection legislation and, where applicable, the Freedom of Information Act
*Always operate within the law and adhere to all relevant legislation and Health & Safety requirements
*Comply fully with the Taking Control of Goods National Standards
Skills & Qualifications
*Valid Enforcement Agent Certificate
*Level 2 Award in Taking Control of Goods
*Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt approach to different individuals and situations
*Confident, tactful and professional with excellent negotiation and listening skills
*Self-motivated with a proactive, ’can-do’ attitude
*Flexible and adaptable in a varied working environment
*Ethical and professional, aligned with high standards of enforcement
*Empathetic, with the ability to support individuals in difficult financial situations while maintaining respect and dignity
