The firm is looking to strengthen its Family Department in Huddersfield by appointing an experienced Solicitor with 5+ years PQE to manage a varied caseload including divorce, private children matters, non-molestation orders and financial relief cases.

*This role would suit a motivated and experienced Solicitor seeking a flexible working environment, genuine progression opportunities and the chance to work within a close-knit and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a varied caseload including divorce, private children matters, non-molestation orders and financial relief cases
*Handle files independently, including taking over ongoing matters
*Attend court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRs
*Draft legal documentation and liaise effectively with clients and third parties
*Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including Legal Aid Agency rules and the Solicitors Act
*Support and supervise junior colleagues, including conducting file reviews
Person Specification
*Qualified Family Solicitor with 5+ years PQE (or equivalent experience)
*Strong experience handling a broad range of family law matters including divorce, children, financial disputes and domestic abuse
*Experience with TOLATA matters is advantageous
*Excellent client care skills and strong drafting ability
*Confident working with legal aid procedures and billing requirements
*Ability to supervise junior fee earners and meet LAA supervisor criteria
*Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development is desirable
