Job Description:
This opportunity sits with a highly regarded, tier-one patent firm with an international presence and a strong reputation for handling complex, high value patent work. The role will see you working closely with Patent Attorneys to support a varied and high quality client portfolio. You will play a key part in managing patent processes, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining accuracy across all work. This is an excellent opportunity for a Patent Paralegal looking to take the next step in their career within a forward thinking and well-structured team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supporting attorneys across the full patent lifecycle
*Monitoring and maintaining deadlines using IP management systems
*Preparing and filing patent applications and associated documentation
*Liaising with clients, foreign associates and official bodies
*Updating and maintaining records within patent databases such as Inprotech or similar
*Handling correspondence and document management tasks efficiently
*Ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes and procedures
*Supporting the wider team with administrative and portfolio management tasks
Requirements:
*Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Patent Paralegal role
*Completion of the Introductory Patent Paralegal Course (IPPC) or working towards it
*Strong understanding of patent processes and procedures
*Experience using Inprotech or similar IP management systems
*Familiarity with document management systems
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
*Confident communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
*High level of attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
