Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:*Partner with managers to deliver people strategies that support both immediate and long-term business goals
*Lead on a wide range of employee relations cases, from investigation through to outcome and appeal
*Coach and support line managers on performance, absence, conduct, and capability
*Support organisational change initiatives including restructures, shift changes, and contract changes
*Drive engagement, development, and retention initiatives across a diverse and ageing workforce
*Manage and improve onboarding, training, and development programmes
*Ensure performance management processes are embedded and effective
*Contribute to HR reporting, analysing trends in absence, turnover, and performance
*Support payroll processes and ensure compliance across HR systems

*Deputise for the HR Manager when required
Key Skills & Experience required:*Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a site-based, operational or manufacturing environment
*Strong employment law knowledge and confidence managing complex ER cases
*Experience working in a unionised environment is highly advantageous
*CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or working towards
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with evolving systems
*Strong Excel and data analysis skills
*A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence change, build capability, and make an impact on both people and performance - this is worth a conversation.
