Job Description:
Teqniq is searching for a Equipment & Adaptations Officer to work in the public sector.
35 hours per week.
26 week contract.
Mininum 2 days office.
Job Description:
To assess the needs of resident with a physical disability/sensory loss and their carers who are referred for equipment and adaptations, identifying levels of risk and urgency of response for ordering. To consult with Senior Projects Manager if complex issues are identified and continue to hold cases when it is agreed that this is the appropriate course of action.
Obtain quotations for E&A work including chasing and evaluating, placing orders for the fitting of minor adaptations and monitor progress and completion. Plan and arranging access where necessary.
To identify and source necessary and appropriate equipment and adaptations to promote independence and reduce risks.
Intercept and screen telephone calls, emails and written correspondence, dealing with all
areas for E&A work. Providing a full administrative service.
Liaison with members of staff in other departments and external contacts / residents, in relation to the team/department’s area of work.
Develop and maintain administrative, office systems, databases and spreadsheets for E&A work as required, to include CRM, CD, APEX, Proactis & Orchard including all guarantees, servicing records and attributes.
Plan and arrange pre-visits for all DFGs assessments and confirm recommendations in
writing and update systems.
Plan and arrange post inspections for all DFGs, update systems and ensure residents are fully notified of their maintenance and guarantee responsibilities by their preferred method of communication.
Communicate to residents where service charges are to be levied including options dependent upon circumstances, calculation of charge and liaison with Service Charge team.
Provide guidance, interpretation and updates on relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
