We’re hiring for a Senior Associate to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice’s outsourcing team in Guildford. This is a newly created role driven by growth, offering the chance to work closely with a diverse client base while playing a key part in delivery, review, and team development.
You’ll be joining a collaborative environment with a strong focus on quality, client relationships, and continuous improvement—ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and mentoring junior team members.
WISH LIST
*Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts and statutory financial statements within practice
*Confident working with cloud accounting tools (Xero essential) and Excel
*Comfortable reviewing work and supporting junior team members
THE ROLE
*Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
*Produce statutory financial statements under FRS105 and FRS102 (including consolidated accounts)
*Review bookkeeping and financial data prepared by clients or junior staff
*Support the preparation of VAT returns and review submissions
*Assist with onboarding new clients, including compliance processes
*Provide support and guidance on accounting systems and software
*Handle day-to-day client queries and build strong working relationships
*Train, support, and review the work of junior team members
*Delegate work effectively and ensure quality output across the team
*Contribute to fee proposals and new business opportunities
*Support cashflow forecasting and budgeting work for clients
*Identify and suggest improvements to processes and ways of working
YOUR PROFILE
*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA) or active studier
*Effective communicator – written & verbal
*Good working knowledge of MS Excel
*Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment
*Confident using Xero and comfortable with cloud-based systems
