The Assistant Accountant will play an essential role in supporting the accounting and finance team within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This position requires a detail-oriented professional to assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting tasks in Warrington.

*Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
*Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.
*Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
*Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
*Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
*Provide support during internal and external audits.
*Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to improve financial processes.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*A formal qualification or part-qualification in accounting or finance.
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong organisational and time management abilities.
