Job Description:
Morgan Hunt currently requires a Group Head of Security for FE College based in East London on a Permanent Basis
Salary From £57,000pa to £66,000pa Depending on experience
Hours: 35 Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with a requirement to work up to three Saturday open days and two open evenings per year.

Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and professional oversight of security across the College, ensuring a safe, secure and resilient environment for students, staff and visitors.
The postholder will act as the College’s principal security adviser, leading on security strategy, risk management, emergency planning, business continuity and the development of policies, standards and systems.
The role will set direction and provide assurance on the effectiveness of security arrangements, while supporting operational teams in the delivery of consistent, high-quality security services across all campuses.
Strategic Leadership and Governance
Lead the development and implementation of the College’s security strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
Act as the subject matter expert on all security-related matters, advising senior leadership on risk, compliance and best practice.
Establish and maintain security policies, standards and procedures to ensure a consistent and compliant approach across all campuses.
Undertake strategic security risk assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
Provide assurance to senior leadership on the effectiveness of security controls and arrangements.
Strategic Security Manager Role Requirements
The role requirements for a strategic thinking security manager position. We are seeking someone with corporate-level security experience who can set policy, procedures, and training standards rather than someone with purely operational experience. The role would involve overseeing approximately 3 security officers plus a team leader at each campus location, who currently report to local facilities managers. The successful candidate would be responsible for corporate security, risk management, and emergency planning across the college group.
