A fast-growing, entrepreneurial professional services firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Partner to play a defining role in the next phase of its private client practice. With significant investment, a strong national platform and an established client base, the firm is looking for a senior leader who wants to build something meaningful and leave a legacy.
This role will appeal to a partner (or senior director ready to step up) who thrives on growth, enjoys strategic influence, and wants the freedom to scale a private client offering with real backing.
The OpportunityYou will be a key figure in driving the expansion of the private client tax practice, working closely with fellow Partners and senior leaders to develop services, grow market share and strengthen the firm’s position as a go-to adviser for high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners.
There is genuine scope to make a huge impact - whether through growing an existing portfolio, developing new niches, building referral networks, or expanding the team beneath you. This is not a caretaking role; it is a platform for leadership and growth.
Key Responsibilities*Acting as lead adviser to a portfolio of complex private clients, including HNWIs, families, entrepreneurs and trusts
*Advising on income tax, CGT, IHT, succession planning, estate structuring and long-term wealth strategies
*Driving growth through business development, relationship-building and market presence
*Identifying and developing new revenue streams and specialist propositions
*Building, mentoring and scaling a high-performing private client tax team
*Collaborating with Partners across other service lines to deliver joined-up advice
*Playing an active role in shaping the strategic direction of the wider tax practice
About You*Established private client tax leader, operating at either at Partner level or experienced Director ready for partnership
*Strong technical grounding combined with a commercial, growth-focused mindset
*Proven ability (or clear appetite) to generate work and develop client relationships
*CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification
*Entrepreneurial, visible and confident operating in a leadership role
