Job Description:
Utilities Project Manager
*Location: Doncaster Airport
*Rate: Up to £650 per day (via umbrella)
*Contract: Initial 9 months (strong potential for extension)
*Start: ASAP
We are urgently recruiting an experienced Utilities Project Manager to support Doncaster Sheffield Airport. This role focuses on resolving significant issues within the site’s High Voltage (HV) electrical network and drainage infrastructure, with an immediate priority on the HV network, including capacity, resilience, and system performance.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Project manage remedial and improvement works across the airport’s utility infrastructure.
*Lead investigations and delivery related to HV network capacity, performance, and resilience.
*Oversee drainage-related issues where required.
*Assess existing site conditions and define scopes of work.
*Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
*Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and within agreed budgets.
*Report progress, risks, and recommendations directly to the client lead.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Utilities Project Manager or similar role.
*Strong High Voltage (HV) electrical infrastructure experience.
*Experience managing utilities across large, complex, multi-site estates.
*Familiarity with multiple transformers, backup systems, and network resilience.
*Ability to work autonomously on technically complex infrastructure projects.
Desirable Experience:
*Previous airport or aviation-related infrastructure experience is preferred but not essential if the candidate has strong HV experience in complex estates such as hospitals, campuses, data centres, or industrial sites.
On-Site Requirements:
*Expected to be on site approximately 2–3 days per week.
*Must be comfortable conducting site walkdowns and technical assessments.
Contract Duration:
*Initial 9-month contract with strong potential for extension subject to project approval and progress.
Interview Process:
*Face-to-face interviews preferred, but Microsoft Teams interviews can be accommodated if required.
