An established manufacturing business in Chesterfield is reorganising its facility and is looking for a Handyman to support the transition. This is a hands-on, varied role focused on preparing work areas, moving equipment, and carrying out general site maintenance. We need a motivated person who is physically fit and able to cope with the physical nature of the role across a large manufacturing facility.
Handyman - Role & Responsibilities
*Support site reorganisation, preparing workstations and equipment for relocation
*Move tooling, equipment, and workspace setups across site (no heavy machinery moves)
*Assist with setting up new work areas
*Carry out general tasks such as painting floors, cleaning, and basic refurbishment
*Complete day-to-day maintenance (e.g. minor repairs, fixing doors, installing plugs)
*Liaise with contractors when needed
*Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Handyman - Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a handyman or maintenance role (manufacturing/industrial preferred)
*Confident using hand and power tools
*Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance
*Proactive, flexible attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
*Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
