Job Description:
Interim Procurement Opportunities | Local Authority | £450-£550 per day
Hays are currently supporting a local authority client with the appointment of experienced interim procurement professionals to address short-term capacity gaps within their procurement team.
These are high-impact contract roles working on complex, high-value public sector procurement under the Procurement Act 2023, with immediate or near-term starts.
Roles required (3-4 months):
1 x Senior Category Manager - Corporate Contracts (up to £550pd)
3 x Category Managers - Corporate / Place & Environment / ICT & Digital (up to £450pd)
Key requirements:
Significant local authority / public sector procurement experience
Delivery of high-value, complex procurements end to end
Strong working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023
Experience using e-procurement systems (In-Tend or similar)
Ability to operate autonomously and deliver quickly
