Secondary Learning Support Assistant - SEN Department - Ilford
Full Time | Term Time Only | ASAP & September Starts Available
Up to £120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated and proactive Secondary Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Ilford, working within the SEN department to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support or a strong interest in working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the SEN department
*Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
*Assist pupils in lessons and during intervention sessions
*Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral teams
*Help implement EHCP targets and support plans
*Promote engagement, independence and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience supporting students with SEN needs (desirable)
*Confidence working in a secondary school environment
*A patient, proactive and adaptable approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
*Background in education, youth work or care (desirable)
Location & Transport - Ilford, East London
*Accessible via Ilford Station (Elizabeth Line)
*Close to Gants Hill and Newbury Park (Central Line)
*Bus routes:
*Excellent links into Central and East London
