Job Description:
Secondary Teaching Assistant - SEMH
*Location: Central Bristol
*Start Date: ASAP | Contract Until End of Academic Year

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist setting in central Bristol. This is a rewarding, hands-on role for someone passionate about supporting young people who require consistent, relational support to engage with education.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Morning sessions will involve outreach and enrichment activities with students.
*Afternoon support will be focused on 1:1 SEMH intervention.
*Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour.
*Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff.
*Helping students develop confidence, independence, and life skills.
This role is full-time and will run until the end of the academic year.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience supporting SEN/SEMH students.
*Secondary-aged experience preferred.
*Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
*Two professional references, covering the last 2 years.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance.
*Ability to start ASAP.
*Calm, resilient, and relationship-focused approach.
