Job Description:
The Opportunity
An established, values-led organisation operating within a regulated environment is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance function during a period of continued development.
This is a permanent, full-time role offering hybrid working (with a mix of office and home-based work) and the opportunity to play a key part in supporting operational and strategic decision-making across a complex organisation.
The Role
Reporting into a senior finance leader, the role will focus on delivering high-quality management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing financial insight across multiple service areas. You will work closely with non-finance stakeholders, contributing to business improvement initiatives and ensuring robust governance and compliance.
Key areas of focus will include:
*Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and KPIs
*Budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning support
*Oversight of specific income streams, ensuring accuracy, transparency and compliance
*Financial modelling, business cases and scenario analysis for new initiatives
*Support with statutory reporting, audit and regulatory returns
*Business partnering with operational teams to support value for money and cost control
About You
This opportunity would suit a part-qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA) or someone qualified by experience, ideally with experience gained in a regulated, not-for-profit, housing, or similar environment.
You are likely to bring:
*Strong management accounting and reconciliation experience
*Confidence working with technical accounting standards in a regulated setting
*The ability to move comfortably between detailed transactional work and higher-level analysis
*Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills and experience with finance systems
*A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
Why Apply?
*Competitive salary in the region of £37,000 (depending on experience)
*Opportunity for a 4 day working week
*Hybrid working arrangement
*Supportive, purpose-driven environment
*Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a mission-led organisation
