SEN Learning Support Assistant - Bury | Full-Time / Part-Time

The Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will help students access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially. You will also support behaviour management and help maintain a calm, structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
*Adapt learning activities to suit individual learning styles and abilities
*Support communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
*Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement support plans
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
*Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Requirements:
*Experience working with children or young people, or transferable experience (e.g. care, support work, youth work)
*A patient, calm, and resilient approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
*Willingness to learn and develop within an SEN setting
