Job Description:
The Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Breakdown Controller to join a busy Plant & Fleet operation. This is a fast-paced position where you’ll be at the centre of keeping vehicles and equipment moving—coordinating breakdown responses, managing communication, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Experience of working in transport, fleet or plant in a similar role is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Managing both internal and external breakdowns from initial report through to resolution
*Coordinating response times and ensuring all incidents are handled within agreed SLAs
*Handling inbound and outbound calls, maintaining a professional and efficient approach
*Updating and managing scheduling systems to ensure jobs are tracked and prioritised effectively
*Raising and processing purchase orders
*Keeping internal systems accurate and up to date with real-time information
*Maintaining organised records and documentation
*Working closely with service and compliance teams to improve processes and performance
*Strong understanding of plant, fleet, or vehicle operations is essential.
