Job Description:
Teaching Assistant Level 3 (TA3) – Primary School
Burnley
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
£16.35 per hour
Start: 1st June – end of the school year
We are currently seeking an experienced TA3 to work in a welcoming Primary School in Burnley, supporting a small group of pupils with additional needs.
The Role
You will be based in a separate learning space where pupils are withdrawn from their mainstream classes to access targeted support. The role includes:
*Delivering Maths, English and Phonics sessions during the morning
*Supporting and leading sensory circuits as part of the daily routine
*Running small social and emotional intervention groups in the afternoon
*Working alongside a TA1 who will also be supporting the group
The majority of planning will be provided, with minor weekly adaptations needed to respond to pupils’ progress and learning needs.
About You
*Hold a TA Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)
*Confident supporting children with additional needs
*Able to deliver structured learning sessions and small group interventions
*Adaptable, nurturing and calm, with a strong understanding of social and emotional development
*Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
