Executive Support Assistant
*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Hybrid)
*Location: Market Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 2EY
*Duration: 5 months
*Pay: £15.31 per hour PAYE
*Working Hours: 9am till 5pm

They are looking for an Executive Support Assistant to provide executive support to the Chief Executive and the Council’s executive leadership team. This role is crucial in helping us navigate challenging times with smarter and more efficient practices.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide a comprehensive, flexible, and responsive executive support service to the Chief Executive and the executive leadership team.
*Coordinate and prepare for meetings and events, including taking accurate minutes and recording decisions.
*Manage correspondence, screen visitors, incoming calls, mail, and email, and handle routine matters while redirecting complex issues as appropriate.
*Contribute to the delivery and improvement of services by promoting quality and customer standards within the secretarial support function.
*Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior managers, councillors, head teachers, and partners.
*Develop and maintain effective systems to support the team’s work and ensure efficient working practices.
*Produce accurate and timely information in an accessible format.
*Handle financial information effectively, including reconciliation, monitoring, and dealing with discrepancies.
*Deliver services in a friendly, professional, and responsive manner.
*Manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
*Take a proactive approach to workload and time management to meet targets, standards, and deadlines.
*Maintain accurate and complete records.
*Work proactively as a team member to achieve team and service objectives, offering support to colleagues as required.
*Work effectively with internal and external partners.
*Follow corporate procedures for customer care and data management.
*Act as a positive role model to colleagues and members of the wider business support team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in providing executive support or similar roles.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
*Proficiency in office management systems and procedures.
*Experience in minute-taking and preparing for high-level meetings.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
