The Role
We’re looking for a Machinist to join our factory team in Gillingham, working on the production and preparation of fire doors using specialist machinery.
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
*Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position
This is a hands-on role where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Operating and setting up machinery within a production environment
*Assisting with the manufacture and preparation of fire doors
*Working to technical specifications and production standards
*Carrying out quality checks to ensure compliance
*Supporting the team to meet production targets and deadlines
*Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience working with machinery / production equipment
*CNC experience (advantageous but not essential)
*Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery
*A quick learner with a proactive attitude
*Strong attention to detail
*Willingness to learn and develop new skills
*A reliable, professional approach to work
