Salary: £37,000
Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager
Overview Warehouse Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations within our fast paced fulfilment warehouse. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience within logistics and warehouse environments, with strong knowledge of Health & Safety, transportation, inventory management, and end-to-end fulfilment operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent leadership, organisational and problem solving skills, ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities - Warehouse Supervisor
Warehouse & Fulfilment Operations
*Oversee daily warehouse activities, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
*Daily meeting with warehouse team to communicate workload, assign tasks and communicate any business updates.
*Monitor workflow to ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and within required timeframes.
*Maintain high standards of stock accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counting.
*Ensure all warehouse equipment (PPTs, forklifts, scanners) is used safely and maintained correctly.
*Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Logistics & Transportation
*Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring timely and cost effective transportation.
*Liaise with transport partners, drivers, and courier services to resolve delivery issues.
*Monitor transport schedules to maintain optimal delivery performance.
Health & Safety Compliance
*Ensure strict compliance with H&S regulations, company policies, and warehouse safety standards.
*Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident reporting.
*Train team members on safe working procedures and manual handling.
Team Leadership
*Supervise and support warehouse operatives, leading by example on productivity and accuracy.
*Plan labour allocation to meet operational needs during peak and off-peak periods.
*Provide coaching, performance management, and team development.
*Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
*Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
*Strong working knowledge of fulfilment warehouse operations.
*Demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety legislation in warehouse environments.
*Experience managing logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
*Strong IT literacy (WMS, MS Office, scanners, inventory systems).
Desirable
*Experience working in a high-volume ecommerce or 3PL environment.
*Knowledge of lean processes or continuous improvement practices.
