This opportunity is with a well-established organisation based in South Leicestershire. Due to recent growth over the past couple of years, they are now looking to add a Financial Accountant to their team.
Description
The Financial Accountant’s duties will include but is not limited to:
*Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
*Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as required.
*Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
*Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax returns and audits.
*Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to senior management.
*Support the budgeting and forecasting processes to achieve financial objectives.
*Identify process improvements to streamline financial reporting and operations.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*A recognised or part qualification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
*Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
*Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
