Estates Services Operative
*Pay Rate: £15.93 PAYE
*Location: Manchester City Council, Blackley, Manchester, M9
*Job Type: Full-time, 6-month contract
Manchester City Council are looking for an Estates Services Operative to join our Housing Operations team. This role involves providing high-quality janitorial services to communal areas of buildings managed by MCC housing services, as well as performing gardening, grounds maintenance, and waste clearance across all housing property stock.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide scheduled and reactive janitorial services to the communal areas of buildings.
*Perform gardening and common area grounds maintenance and improvement works.
*Carry out waste clearance of tipped or discarded materials, including bulky household items.
*Undertake a range of planned or reactive miscellaneous tasks as requested.
*Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Full UK driving licence is essential as the role requires driving a company vehicle (Ford Transit Tipper).
*Must be physically fit and healthy, capable of lifting heavy items.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Good communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
