Job Description:
Our Client, Rochdale Council, is seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Officer to join their service!

Responsibilities of this role:
*Lead on safeguarding and child protection within the organisation
*Identify, record, and respond to safeguarding concerns
*Make referrals to children’s social care and other agencies
*Liaise with professionals (social workers, police, health, schools)
*Ensure policies and procedures are followed
*Support staff on safeguarding issues
*Maintain confidential records
*Promote a safe culture for children and vulnerable people
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
*Must have minimum of 3 years Post Qualifying experience working as a social worker
