Salary: £15.37 per hour / £27,066 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time (41 weeks/year)
This role is a fantastic fit for someone who prefers the workshop to the traditional classroom. You’ll be working with young people who often find mainstream education challenging, helping them build practical skills and confidence through hands-on projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Construction Group Tutor, your day-to-day will involve more than just teaching trades; you’ll be a mentor and an innovator.
*Curriculum Delivery: Teach bricklaying, joinery, painting, and general construction skills.
*Adaptive Learning: Tailor lessons for 1:1 sessions or small groups to meet specific student needs (SEND).
*Documentation: Handle lesson planning, progress reporting, and student assessments.
*Safety & Advocacy: Maintain strict Health & Safety standards in the workshop while advocating for the students’ social and emotional growth.
What You Need to QualifyThe requirements for this role focus heavily on a mix of technical ability and "people skills."
