ARE YOU THE CONDUCTOR OF OUR LOGISTICS SYMPHONY?
We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s top logistics companies for experienced and safety-focused Class 1 Shunters. You will be the heartbeat of the depot yard, keeping trailers moving safely and efficiently so the whole operation runs like clockwork.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Safely maneuver trailers and tugs around the yard, sticking to speed limits and traffic rules
* Carry out pre-use checks on all equipment and report any damage or issues straight away
* Organise trailer placement to maximise space and efficiency
* Work closely with warehouse teams and drivers to keep loading/unloading on track
* Keep accurate records of all movements and activities
* Assist with other tasks when required, such as inventory checks or keeping the yard tidy
* Follow all health & safety procedures and wear required PPE
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
* Current Driver CPC Card
* Previous shunting experience is preferred
* Great spatial awareness and ability to work in tight spaces
* Calm under pressure and a strong team player
* Total commitment to safety and doing things the right way
